Message from the Director
ORIC is the main keystone that helps the University to develop knowledge and enhance innovation, as well as to transform research into valuable economic and social impacts. In the modern-day bustling world, universities need not just spread knowledge, they also need to make it and they need to know that the knowledge will be directly useful to the development of nations and the competitiveness of the global environment.
At DHA Suffa University, we have a strategic vision to establish a robust, vibrant and ethical research culture that enables the faculty and student to think critically, innovate boldly and do research of international relevance. ORIC offers coordinated services in the development of research proposals, acquisition of grants, funded projects, commercialization, intellectual property rights and capacity building. We aim at making research accessible, practical and impactful by merging it with industry, government and society needs.
We are actively enhancing university-industry connections by way of university-industry joint projects, technology transfer, consultancy services, and entrepreneurship development programs. We intend to make DSU a place where ideas are turned into products, solutions, and start-ups to be part of the innovation ecosystem in Pakistan. Our provision of incubation support, applied research centers, internships and partnerships stimulates the students and faculty to participate in problem-solving that can solve national issues like sustainability, governance, digital transformation, and human development.
ORIC is also highly dedicated to the mentoring of young researchers. Our training is on research methodology, data analysis instruments, research ethics, publication standards and international indexing. Through the establishment of platforms such as conferences, workshops, and working research networks, we strive to increase the international presence of the scholarly input of DHA Suffa University.
The future is of innovative, adaptable, and leading institutions. I do believe that under the effort of our faculty, the zeal of our students, and the assistance of our strategic partners, the DHA Suffa University will keep on being one of the most important centers of research excellence in Pakistan and even further.
